Peter Kosa

PeterThe Boss

  estate@kosaestate.com

We call him the Boss, but his real name is Peter Kósa. The man who spotted the potential in the tail end of the Hills of “Ebed”, he's the one who kicked it all off, the one who infected us all with a love for Angus. Peter's a well-traveled cat, a savvy business dude, and above all, a loving dad. He's got a thing for nature, respects our ancestors, and likes to get back to traditions. He studied and lived in the USA, where he got hooked on wanderlust and the charm of quality Angus steak. These two passions led him to his current gig. Peter owns a well-run travel agency and is currently all about boosting up his homeland. His mission? Bring back the old-school glory and shine to the vineyards near Štúrovo...and, last but not least, spread the 'LA' vibe to other corners of Slovakia.

  marta@kosaestate.com

Let’s switch to Marta! She is the kind of person who started out studying Economics, but soon figured out that Marketing and PR were way more fun. Along the way, she’s tried her hand at just about everything – HR, marketing, finance – and even spent a good chunk of time as the office manager, making sure the chaos didn’t turn into a disaster. You could say she’s the ultimate “Jolly Joker.” She's a pro at handling fast-paced, ever-changing environments where problem-solving, teamwork, and keeping everything in order are the name of the game. No wonder she’s found herself in so many different roles – from HR to finance and perhaps that's exactly why the CEO found her suitable as their right-hand person. Tourism and travel have always captured her imagination, along with a love for nature and hiking. The best part? She's in the perfect spot to enjoy it all – surrounded by stunning landscapes and good vibes on the estate. Now, she's all in on the tourism industry, ready to dive deep and see where it takes her.

Carment

CarmenHospitality estate manager

  carmen@kosaestate.com

Meet Carmen! Despite her Spanish-sounding name, she hails from southern Slovakia - her mom just let her creativity shine when naming her. Carmen’s journey in the tourism industry began at the age of 15 when she decided to study at the Hotel Academy in Nitra. Truthfully, she didn’t know what she wants to do, so she picked it to dodge math, but in her first year, she knew she’d made the right choice. She practiced in hotels and restaurants during her studies and got her first part-time job at 16, and never stopped. She found her passion for working with people and loved it ever since. Her love for travel and exploring cultures has taken her across Europe, both for work and leisure. And her favorite country? Let’s just say her name was a perfect fit! After earning her master’s degree in Culture and Tourism Management in Nitra, Carmen climbed the hospitality ladder from waitress to manager at the same hotel, where she dedicated nine wonderful years. Ready for a new challenge, she’s now managing this unique estate, where vineyards, animals, and charming accommodations come together to create unforgettable experiences. Carmen is thrilled to welcome you to this beautiful region and can’t wait to share its hidden gems while ensuring your stay is as delightful as it is memorable!

CsabaWinemaker

This is Csaba! As a long-time friend of Peter, their journey started back in grammar school, where they shared their love for basketball. While Csaba went on to study PE, German, and Logistics—eventually becoming a teacher in these subjects—his true passion was always waiting for him in the vineyards. Wine has been in Csaba’s blood for generations. His grandfather’s love for winemaking meant that as a child, he was often helping with vineyard work and harvests. In 2007, he officially stepped into the wine industry, drawn to natural winemaking—free from additives, enzymes, and chemicals. This shared philosophy brought him and Peter back together, and today, Csaba crafts the wines of Kosa Estate with the same dedication to purity and tradition. Csaba’s first collaboration with Kosa Estate, the 2022 Cuvée from Cabernet Sauvignon, is just the beginning of an exciting journey. He’s passionate about creating spontaneous, authentic wines that truly reflect the land—and he can’t wait to share them with you!

SanyiGrape grower

Sanyi’s journey with grapevines started in the early 1990s, though at first, it was more of a "weekend side quest" helping out on the family vineyards. But the vineyard life grew on him, and in 1997, he and his wife took the leap, buying their own small vineyard with a cozy little house. Since then, they’ve expanded, modernized, and turned it into a flourishing 40-are paradise. Now, Sanyi may have a degree in engineering from Technical University and has worked in industries from construction to automotive inspections, but his heart has always belonged to the vineyards. No matter what job he had, he never gave up his passion for grape-growing and winemaking. He learned the craft from his parents and grandparents—and, of course, a few good books. Then came the ultimate challenge: when his cousin, a.k.a. “The Boss," came up with a bold idea—to transform abandoned vineyards into a thriving estate. Sanyi was all in! Today, he continues to balance work, family, and his love for winemaking, ensuring that every bottle holds the rich history and tradition of his family’s craft. Come and taste the results of years of dedication—you might just find a new favorite vintage!
